Honda Expects to Launch Brio Hatchback in India
With this news hitting the market, Honda’s Executive Vice President for the United States, Mr. John Mendel, asserted that Honda would be churning out cars at full rate, in the coming July or August.
The damage of the twin disasters, supplemented with rising petrol prices, was at such a large extent that the impact was felt in India also, where the production of new Honda city slumped below that of Volkswagen Vento.
If reports are to be believed, Volkswagen Vento achieved sales of 6,839 cars while Honda City, leader of the mid-sized car segment for the past 13 years in the Indian auto industry, hit the mark of 4,315 units, putting Volkswagen Vento at higher end, during March-April 2011 period.
Furthermore, the delayed launch of Honda Brio Hatchback is expected to make its way very soon in India. With Toyota Kirloskar preponing its full production prior schedule, the market analyst are looking at Honda SIEL to display its Honda Brio Hatchback, while launch of the Etios Liva Hatchback is expected to be somewhere close to end of June.
