Adobe Flash Player 11 has just been made available to download for all those who wanted to test the new features. Despite the controversy and fierce competition at HTML5, Flash Player 11 is still a curiosity of users and developers who want to see what’s in store for the new version of the plug-in. The news are many, so let’s see what we have prepared this time the developers at Adobe.
Here are the highlights of the Adobe Flash Player 11 Beta:
  • Stage3D (Molehill): new technology to make the most advanced 3D experience but also the quality of the 2D it is a major beneficiary of television, desktops, smartphones and tablet. Developers can create high-impact interactive experiences (An example is the video demo above).
  • Native support for Linux, Mac OS and Windows 64-bit.
  • Adoption of the G.711 audio compression technology
  • Ability to run streaming video through webcam with SW H.264/AVC encoding which ensures better transmission quality.
  • Bitamp asynchronous decoding to improve the animations.
  • TLS Secure Sockets Support for enhanced security.
  • In parallel with Flash 11 has been released the Adobe Air Beta 3 with hardware acceleration that ensures a better experience with regard to HD video.
